Subscription & Refund Policy

You may manage your subscription entirely online and cancel at any time.
Subscription Plans
Plot Along® offers three subscription tiers:

Yearly subscriptions are billed annually at a discounted rate compared to monthly billing.
Billing
- All paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly, depending on your selection).
- Payment is processed through Stripe. Your credit card information is submitted directly to Stripe and never stored on our servers.
- All fees are exclusive of taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities. Where required, we will collect and remit those taxes.
- You can view and manage your subscription, including changing plans or updating payment information, from the Account > Subscription page within the application.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Account > Subscription page within the application.
- If you cancel before the end of your current paid period, your cancellation takes effect at the end of that billing cycle. You will retain access to paid features until then and will not be charged again.
- When your paid period ends after cancellation, your account will be downgraded to the Basic plan. Your maps and data will be preserved, but you may lose access to features that exceed Basic plan limits.

A Fair Refund Policy
Our refund policy is straightforward: if you are unhappy with Plot Along for any reason, contact our support team and we will work with you to resolve the situation.
Examples of Full Refunds We’d Grant
- Accidental charge: If you were just charged for your next billing period but you meant to cancel, we’re happy to refund that extra charge.
- Forgot to cancel: If you forgot to cancel your subscription a couple of months ago and haven’t used it since then, we’ll give you a full refund for the unused months. No problem.
- Not happy: If you tried Plot Along for a couple of weeks and you just weren’t happy with it, you can have your money back.
Examples of Partial Refunds or Credits We’d Grant
- Long-forgotten account with usage: If you forgot to cancel your subscription a year ago, and there’s been activity on your account since then, we’ll review your account usage and figure out a partial refund based on how many months you actively used it.
- Upgraded but didn’t use extras: If you upgraded to a higher plan a few months ago and kept using it in general but didn’t end up using the extra features, routes, or collaborator slots, we’d consider applying a prorated credit towards future months.
- Extended downtime: If we had extended downtime (multiple hours in a day, or multiple days in a month) or you contacted support and it took multiple days to get back to you, we’d issue a partial credit to your account.
How to Request a Refund
Contact us at support@plotalong.app. Tell us what’s up, and we’ll work with you to make sure you’re happy.
Refund requests that fall outside the examples above are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Plan Changes
- Upgrading: When you upgrade from a lower plan to a higher plan, you will be charged immediately for the new plan (prorated for the remainder of your current billing cycle). Your new features become available immediately.
- Downgrading: When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You retain access to your current plan’s features until then. If your usage exceeds the lower plan’s limits (e.g., more routes than the new plan allows), you will still be able to access your existing content but may not be able to create new content that exceeds the limits.
Free Plan
The Basic plan is free. We do not ask for your credit card, and — just like for customers who pay for our Service — we do not sell your data.
