v2.6.0
Announcing public Android beta, search and filters for your maps, and a new sidebar
2.6.0 opens the Android beta to sign-ups and adds search, filters and sorting to your maps. It also brings a new sidebar, a separate Settings page and a lighter maps dashboard. Performance improvements under the hood bring faster page loads.
Android beta
Sign up for the Android beta at /android-beta and we’ll send you a notification on how to install the app. If you don’t have a Plot Along account yet, the same page creates one and signs you up in a single step.
Find your maps
The maps page now has search, filters and sorting. Search matches map names and descriptions, filters narrow the list by ownership, travel mode and visibility, and maps can be sorted by last updated, date created or A to Z. Last updated is now the default order.
A new way around
- Sidebar on larger screens. It holds New Route, Maps, Settings, Account and Trash, with your three most recent routes listed under Maps.
- Bottom bar on phones. It replaces the menu drawer with New Route, Maps, Settings and Account.
- Loading screens match the page. Spinners are replaced by outlines of the page that is about to appear.
Settings and Account
- Settings has its own page. Default routing and distance units moved there from Account.
- Account keeps the rest. That covers subscription, profile, password, support and account deletion.
